They were a mess on tangled on Eric’s bed. The movie had long been forgotten, even though it was one of his favorites. Leila had surprised herself with her boldness when she climbed into his lap and lay back on top of him. She loved him. They had been together for quite some time. Maybe it was about time to take things in their relationship to the next level. Of course, there would just be some things that she would have to clear up with him beforehand.

“Eric,” she breathed against his lips. She tangled one hand into his thick black hair and the other rested on his shoulder for support. She could feel his hands on her waist as they continued to kiss. Their mouths melted together…perfectly.

Moments had passed before it registered in Eric’s mind that Leila had said his name. He knew he wanted to take things slow with Leila, but it was only now, with his lips on hers and her hands tangled in his hair, that he was thinking maybe - just maybe, they’d been going a bit too slow. He kept his hands on her waist, wanting desperately to move them elsewhere, but he didn’t want to get ahead of himself.

He pulled away from her for just a moment, resting his forehead on hers. “Yeah?” he asked, kissing her once more. “Is everything okay?” And he hoped everything was. He wasn’t sure if she felt as ready as he did, but it didn’t matter, because he knew it all depended on her. He didn’t want to do anything she wasn’t ready for. All he knew in that moment was that he loved her entirely.

Yeah maybe that’s what I need. It is, it is a really dumb story actually. Don’t see me in a wrong way, please? All my life I thought that suicide is something selfish and I still believe it and I-I well, I didn’t mean to die but but it was like something held me under water. I couldn’t get on the surface anymore. And god, I sound so pathetic.

Anyone can fix themselves, Kristen. You have to want it, and be willing to let go of whatever it is that’s got a hold on you. It’s not easy, but it is possible.

You’re not pathetic. There’s just something going on with you, and you have to fight it. You’re gonna get married, Kristen. You’re gonna be so happy! Don’t let this darkness take your happiness away. The fact that you’re still here today says so much about you. You’re stronger than you think.
